Jacob Schepis established JPS Health & Fitness – Personal Training and officially started operating the business we now know today.
The first items of merchandise bearing the original JPS logo were released.
After frustrations working out of a commercial facility, Jacob made plans to establish a private facility to operate JPS out of.
Samuel Schepis joined the Coaching team and to assist Jacob in the operations of the business.
Jacob hosted the first ever JPS seminar out of Recreation Health Club, presenting on Bodybuilding and Contest Preparation and Nutrition.
The first JPS Health & Fitness facility was well under way, with a property secured at 485A Keilor Rd in Niddrie, the boys worked tirelessly to set up their new home.
JPS Health & Fitness officially opened its doors on March 23rd 2013.
After 3 months of operating the business was beginning to build, with 4 Head Coaches on the team.
The Schepis brothers stepped on the Bodybuilding stage together.
By early 2014, the Coaching team had grown further now with 6 Head Coaches.
Saw JPS’ first introduction to the Powerlifting World, with Samuel Schepis hitting the platform for the first time.
After only a few successful years, we had outgrown our little home in Niddrie and it was time to find something bigger and better.
A new home was found at 77C Matthews Avenue in Airport West, only 1km away from the original facility. It was now time to set up the facility for the transition from old to new!
In only a few short months JPS Health & Fitness had relocated into a brand new facility, one which we still call home. This move saw truckloads of equipment and several days of setup to get the new space ready for operation.
The first 12 Week Mentorship program was founded and began in the new facility.
By the end of 2015 the Coaching team had grown to more than 10.
Plans to branch out and set up a second facility were under way, with sights set on Port Melbourne.
After months of delays, hard work and preparation JPS saw its second facility open at 223 Rouse Street in Port Melbourne.
Early 2017 saw JPS grow within the Powerlifting Australia community and host their first ever powerlifting competition with over 45 competitors taking to the platform.
After months of hard training three JPS Athletes ventured to Belarus to represent Australia, and their club, at the IPF World Championships.
JPS hosted their first large scale event, bringing the team of 3DMJ down to Australia for an epic weekend conference.
After years of Coaching physique athletes, Jacob and athlete Gab achieved the first of JPS’ Pro Cards in the ICN federation.
The JPS Staff and Coaching family continued to grow, with over 15 members now.
In typical style the team at JPS set their sights on bigger and better, this time hosting the inaugural UEBC which saw 8 industry leaders venture out to Australia to present to over 125 attendees over 3 huge days.
Announces release of First ever Book! ‘Fundamentals of Nutrition’ written by head coaches Martin & Jacob.
Another opportunity to raise the standard presents itself, seeing JPS team up with IFA to facilitate the Certificate 3 & 4, in an effort to improve the quality of education for up and coming Coaches.
The brains of JPS, Jacob and Lyndon, have been working tirelessly to establish the Online Mentorship program to be launched in February 2019.
Plans for the second UEBC hosted in 2019 are underway, this time to bring out 10 huge presenters!
JPS takes home 6x national records & 2x national titles form Powerlifting Australia 2018 Open Nationals, with two 1st Places and winning Best Male Team.
After months of deliberation the JPS team decide to conclude coaching out of Port Melbourne, allowing them the opportunity to consolidate operations and to unite their staff under one roof to continue to raise the standard online and face-to-face.
